As part of Sacred Heart School Thornlie ongoing commitment to provide excellent opportunities for our students, we are commencing our 1:1 BYOD iPad programme in Year 4 for 2022. We have trialled this programme in the Year 4 classes this year and it has proven to be very successful in promoting creative and critical thinking within the students. The world is changing at a rapid pace with digital technologies being a focus in preparing students for life in the 21st Century. The BYOD programme means that your child will have access to a digital learning device each day they are at school as well as at home. This exciting opportunity will enhance their current learning as well as give students instant access to research materials and open up a vast array of different and varied ways to present their learning. The BYOD programme is funded by parents either directly, through a lease system or by a payment plan arranged through the school. This will give children access to Apple Technology, as well as numerous programmes and learning materials during their educational daily life.
